What it is Filled
Training centres built by the Nazi Party (NSDAP) from 1934 to train future party leaders: Vogelsang, Kroessinsee and Sonthofen; the planned fourth at Marienburg was not built and the building programmes were never fully completed. After 1945 the sites passed to other uses: Vogelsang is now a documentation and education site, Sonthofen a military barracks, and Kroessinsee lies in present-day Poland.
Why it exists Filled

Distinguishing features Filled
- Training under Robert Ley's organisation began in 1936 and was interrupted in 1939; many trainees later served in occupation administration and took part in Nazi crimes.
- The planned Ordensburg courses never took place at Sonthofen, which hosted party meetings and Adolf Hitler Schools.
- Different from the Adolf Hitler Schools and the Napolas, other Nazi elite schools.
