A migration or residency status is the legal standing a state grants a non-national to enter, stay, work or reside on its territory, such as a visa-free stay, temporary or permanent residence, refugee or subsidiary protection, with its conditions and validity. It is the resulting status held by a person, distinct from the immigration case or application that decides it and from the physical permit document that evidences it.

- Design and test profiles for declaratory rights, concurrent statuses, expired proof, inaccessible digital records, pending applications and appeals, retained family rights, corrections and lawful disposal.
- Pin compatible person, jurisdiction, case, decision and category-split model bindings and implement loss-aware mappings before operational use.
- Restore independent review and research non-European, child-specific, statelessness and temporary-protection boundaries before broadening coverage.
- Independent external review is absent; a local no-tools self-audit does not replace it.
- Full current legal texts, consolidation changes, translations, licensing and national implementation have not been verified. Five of eight source pages had browser challenges; official indexed evidence is limited.
- No operational jurisdiction profile, executable legal-time calculator, status classifier or benefit/work eligibility engine is delivered.
