Research draft, second pass

A second pass drafted this model: the structure a model of this thing needs, and what is known about it in the world. The line under this one says how the second half was obtained - researched against sources, or recalled without web access, in which case nothing here was read anywhere and every claim is a lead to verify. Unreviewed either way.

Purpose and description

Let an agent explain the 2015 Giro d Italia and its outcome, relay route, stages and classification results from cycling sources, describe notable moments, and distinguish this edition from other years and from the Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana.

The 98th edition of the Giro d Italia, the annual three-week Grand Tour stage race in Italy, held from 9 to 31 May 2015, starting in San Lorenzo al Mare, Liguria and finishing in Milan over about 3482 kilometres, won by Alberto Contador of Tinkoff-Saxo ahead of Fabio Aru and Mikel Landa, with the points classification won by Giacomo Nizzolo, the mountains classification by Giovanni Visconti and the young rider classification by Fabio Aru; Contador rode much of the race with a dislocated shoulder after a crash and held off the Astana pair of Aru and Landa, completing the first half of an attempted Giro and Tour double.
